Sprinkle Pot, Medieval

Sprinkle Pot, Medieval

Details
Sprinkle pots like this were a vital household tool within medieval households.  The holes in the base allow an even distribution of water to flow, and this flow can be easily controlled using the thumb hole at the top of the pot.  Removing your thumb from the hole allows the water to flow, and applying your thumb to make the water stop.  There were numerous uses for this lovely little object, including watering seedlings and wetting the floor prior to sweeping, and we use ours to add small qualities of water to our clay when kneading it.

'Add To Cart' items are ready to send straight away. Please be aware that if bought alongside 'Pre-order' items, your order will be sent when all items are ready.

'Pre-order' items are made to order, and we will dispatch them as soon as we have handcrafted them for you; this usually takes 90 days, but international orders can take a little longer.
